I didn't go to E3 but I saw some videos of it and I'm wondering why the hell would Sony or Microsoft want to mimic the Nintendo Wii's motion stick? Why do they want to be exactly the same as Nintendo? Whoever goes out and buys a motion stick for thier PS3 or 360 is stupid. I like to be lazy when I'm playing video games. When I get home from a long day of school, I don't want to move my arms like an idiot, I want to plop on the couch and play a online game with my friends or pwn noobs with my THUMBS (and index fingers) instead of rotating my arms just to make a basic attack. If I was head of Sony or Microsoft, I would try to make something completely different that  would attract a lot of people instead of the same godforsaken thing as  the other guy that no one would buy! I also heard that Sony is making anew PSP called the PSPgo. I know it is lighter than the PSP and it slides. Also you can only download games. Wow Sony will the next PSP be a phone? Speaking of the PSP, how the hell did it come second compaired to the Nintendo Dsi? From my standing point I don't just look at the games, I look at the device itself. The PSP can store music, photos, and videos, it can also play movies, and have internet access. All the Dsi has is a camera, atouch screen, and some good games. For those who want to know what game system I have, I have a Playstation 3 and a X-Box 360. I don't see why people are arguing about which one is better. In some ways they the same. But are two reasons to why Ilike PS3 better than 360. One, PS3 does not overheat. Two, ONLINE IS FREE! Well this all I have to say right now. I'll talk more on the subject later.

Well. Like them or not motion controls have been making Nintendo a lot of money and Sony and Microsoft are businesses after all, so that would be why they want to jump on the bandwagon
:iconxfaerietale:
My guess is....money, they saw Nintendo sold a bunch of Wii's and now they want a piece lol. At least that's what I figured. But ya, I think that would be a bad move. Not everyone likes those stupid controllers XD

I would like to get a PS3 eventually, but I don't think I'll ever get another 360...after three died on me in a year.

There are 3 big companies fighing for world domination, so they act dirty to get the upper hand. Even if the avatars for Nintendo and X-box look very similar, and basically the same controls. The gaming industry has gone from a small number of elite gamers who spent their free time killing locusts or zombies to the average joe picking up a controller and bouncing about the room playing versions of Mario Kart and Sonic. It's just the world we live in.
BTW: I own a Xbox, Wii, Ds.

I agree with you on the DS part. I don't see how it beats the psp. Maybe,it's because of the whole inter-connectivity between people owning DSis.

Anger is foreplay
:iconplaystationdemon:
That may be but people who own a 360 or PS3 could have got a Wii instead of the console they have, which is why I said 'no one would buy'.

I'm just wondering how the Nintendo and X-box logos are the same

Trying to be ranter here
:iconcynicalgeezer:
True. But it's not about those existing customers. It's about the larger, casual gaming audience that Sony and Microsoft want to start buying 360's and PS3's. If it means making more money then Sony and Microsoft will follow Nintendo in ditching their existing fans in favour of a new larger audience
:iconplaystationdemon:
Yes, but isn't some, if not half, of the audience looking for the next big thing and not the same old thing? I will admit that motion controls will get better but still.
